The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Bill, 2016, (RERA Act), was passed in Parliament on March last year and all the 92 sections of the Act. Long waited Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act came into force after a nine-year on Monday, 1st May, 2017 which marks the beginning of a “New Era” which has brought cheer on the faces of home buyers. Rera Act is mandatory for the every states and Union Territories to set up the authority within 6 months. At present only few States and Union Territories have so far notified the rules which are as below.
